Account Manager, School Partnerships
About the Role
This is a retention- and growth-focused account management role. You'll own a portfolio of existing school partnerships, lead the annual re-sign process, and identify opportunities to expand each school's program — whether that's reaching more year groups, adding faculty or parent workshops, or layering in our online resources and coaching. Your north star is keeping schools as long-term partners and growing the impact, and the value, of every relationship.
You'll work closely with school leaders, our delivery team, and operations, using program engagement and impact data to demonstrate ROI and make the case for renewal and expansion.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage a portfolio of school partnerships, serving as the primary point of contact for school leadership.
- Lead the annual re-sign and renewal process, securing contract renewals ahead of each academic year and hitting retention targets.
- Identify and close expansion and upsell opportunities — additional grade levels, faculty PD sessions, parent workshops, premium online resources, coaching, and multi-year agreements.
- Build and deepen relationships with key decision-makers, including Superintendents, Principals, Parent Coordinators, etc.
- Conduct needs assessments and deliver tailored program proposals and presentations to school stakeholders.
- Monitor account health and engagement, and use Elevate's impact reports to reinforce value and surface renewal risks early.
- Maintain accurate account data, renewal forecasting, and pipeline in the CRM (Salesforce).
- Partner with the delivery and operations teams to ensure smooth program delivery and high partner satisfaction.
What You'll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in account management, customer success, partnerships, or B2B sales.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding retention/renewal and expansion targets.
- Confident presentation and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organization and the ability to manage a portfolio of accounts across overlapping renewal cycles.
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred).
- Comfort with a hybrid schedule that includes in-person school visits.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling programs or services into schools, districts, or the broader education and EdTech sector.
- A background in teaching or working within schools — a genuine asset when partnering with educators.
- Familiarity with the academic calendar and school budgeting cycles.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $70,000–$85,000, plus performance-based commission tied to retention and expansion, with on-target earnings of approximately $100,000–$120,000.
