Job summary

Biodiversity protection is crucial in order to preserve the diversity of species and avoid negative consequences for future generations. adelphi analyses political processes, strategies and instruments in the field of biodiversity, land use, nature conservation and restoration, as well as protection of freshwater resources.

As an Analyst or Consultant, you will support our team in designing and implementing stakeholder dialogues and communication initiatives in the field of biodiversity, restoration and protection of freshwater resources.

Your tasks

• Background research in biodiversity, restoration, and freshwater
• Data analysis, e.g. consultation responses
• Summarising and communicating scientific information for different audiences, including social media and written outputs
• Meeting, workshop and conference organisation
• Qualitative research support, e.g. interviews

What we expect from you

• Master's degree in biodiversity and water management, biology, geography, social/political science, or a related field
• 1–2 years of relevant experience/relevant internships in nature conservation, land use, water management or related
• Knowledge of nature conservation, water and agricultural policy in Germany and the EU, as well as understanding of relevant political processes
• Research, analysis, and qualitative methods skills to conduct interviews and analyse consultation responses
• Strong communication skills across formats and audiences
• Excellent German and English
• Structured, independent working style and excellent organisational skills
• Existing network with national or European institutions in biodiversity / conservation / water (desirable)
