Important: We are looking for candidates with proven experience in content-driven digital marketing and audience growth. While book marketing experience is highly preferred, we also welcome applications from marketers with transferable experience in organic growth, social media campaigns, influencer outreach, email marketing, SEO, and measurable results. Applications must include examples of campaigns with measurable outcomes. General social media experience alone is not sufficient.
About the Role
Palestine Revealed is a mission-led non-fiction book aiming to reach as many readers as possible while raising funds for ten charity partners who benefit from the author’s profits.
We are seeking a results-driven Digital Growth & Content Marketing Manager to lead the book’s online visibility, audience growth, reviews, partnerships, media outreach and sales support. This role requires someone who understands book marketing, knows how to grow visibility organically, and can turn strategy into measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Book Marketing & Online Growth
- Create and manage organic marketing campaigns across Instagram, TikTok / BookTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest and Substack
- Build weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly content calendars
- Repurpose long-form content into reels, clips, quotes, posts and articles
- Write and publish one weekly Substack article
- Manage community engagement, including comments, DMs and reader conversations
Reviews, Influencers & Endorsements
- Secure reviews, testimonials and endorsements from influencers, journalists, public figures and respected voices
- Run Amazon and Goodreads review campaigns
- Grow the book’s credibility and social proof across relevant platforms
Amazon, Goodreads, SEO & Discoverability
- Optimise the book’s Amazon presence, including keywords, categories and A+ content
- Improve Goodreads visibility and engagement
- Support website and blog SEO to increase organic discovery
- Track what is working and improve visibility over time
Email, Database & Audience Growth
- Grow and maintain email lists and reader databases
- Improve list quality, segmentation, and engagement
- Manage newsletter and email marketing campaigns
Partnerships, Distribution & Outreach
- Coordinate cross-promotion with the book’s ten charity partners
- Approach publishers for foreign-language and international editions
- Contact libraries, academic institutions, independent bookshops, and distributors
- Explore bulk sales opportunities with NGOs, charities, and aligned organisations
Media, Events & PR
- Research and submit the book for relevant festivals, awards, and events
- Pitch podcast interviews, speaking opportunities, and media appearances
- Secure press coverage, online features, and op-ed opportunities
- Support online and in-person book launch activity
Organisation, Reporting & Tracking
- Set up and maintain Trello boards for all marketing workstreams
- Track campaigns, engagement, reach, sales, and funds raised for charity partners
- Submit a written weekly report
- Attend a weekly meeting with Hanan
- Prepare and present a monthly performance report covering results, improvements, and next steps
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience marketing books online
- Proven results from previous book campaigns, with real numbers and links
- Strong experience in organic growth, book discoverability and content optimisation
- Experience with Amazon and Goodreads marketing or optimisation
- Excellent written English
- Experience with email marketing and major social media platforms
- Strong organisational skills, including Trello, tracking systems, and regular reporting
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly during the required hours
- Comfortable working on a book with a political and humanitarian focus
- Awareness of platform restrictions or suppression around Palestine-related content, with creative ideas for organic reach
Desirable Skills
- Experience with BookTok, Substack, podcast outreach or influencer campaigns
- Experience with Google Ads
- Experience pitching books to libraries, academics, bookshops, festivals or media outlets
- Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Mailchimp or similar tools
