Brand and PR Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY
This isn't a press release factory role. We're looking for a storyteller with hustle: someone who can find the angle nobody else sees, build relationships with journalists and editors across travel, tech, and business media, and get Final Rentals into conversations it has never been part of before.
You'll own our narrative from pitch to publication, and you'll also shape how our brand shows up physically in car rental locations worldwide, making every touchpoint feel unmistakably Final Rentals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and pitch compelling original stories about Final Rentals to online and print media across travel, technology, entrepreneurship, and beyond.
- Approach online media outlets daily and put a fresh spin on our stories (this skill is a must).
- Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and content creators across global and regional publications.
- Find angles others miss, including product launches, franchise growth, founder stories, and local market wins, and turn them into press coverage.
- Create and maintain a content and PR calendar aligned with business milestones and campaigns.
- Coordinate brand presence in Final Rentals partner locations, including signage, collateral, and in-branch experience, ensuring consistency across every country we operate in.
- Act as brand guardian: protect and evolve the Final Rentals voice across every channel, from media to physical spaces.
- Track, report, and continuously improve PR outcomes such as coverage volume, domain authority, and share of voice.
- Collaborate with the marketing and commercial teams to align stories with growth priorities.
WHO YOU ARE
- A brilliant communicator (written, verbal, and everything in between) with a natural instinct for what makes a great story.
- Proactive and self-directed: you don't wait for briefs, you generate ideas and execute them.
- A strong personality with genuine charisma. You can walk into a conversation (or an inbox) and make people want to cover your story.
- Relentlessly curious: always scanning the world for the next angle, trend, or hook that connects back to our brand.
- Organised and reliable: you manage multiple pitches, projects, and partners without dropping the ball.
- Proven PR or brand experience (agency or in-house), ideally in travel, tech, hospitality, or a consumer-facing brand.
- Comfortable working across time zones and with a lean, fast-moving global team.
