Job Title: Brand Partnerships & Business Development Manager – Promo

About the Role
We're looking for a commercially sharp, brand-first business developer to own and grow ECS Promo's revenue engine. This isn't a typical sales role — it's an end-to-end ownership position covering new business hunting, campaign-level deal structuring, execution coordination, and collections.
You'll spend the majority of your time in rooms with Brand Managers, Marketing Managers, and Trade Marketing leads — shaping promotional solutions before RFQs are even written.
What You'll Do
- Open new doors — proactively build relationships with Brand, Marketing, and Trade Marketing decision-makers across corporates and FMCG businesses in Nigeria.
- Sell solutions, not products — pitch customized promotional solutions tied to brand visibility, consumer engagement, sampling, retail activation, and brand recall.
- Get nominated early — drive ECS's inclusion in campaign briefs before procurement gets involved.
- Close deals commercially — convert brand-approved concepts into viable proposals, negotiate margins, and push through to PO.
- Own execution — coordinate internally across sourcing, operations, and logistics to deliver on time and to spec.
- Collect — manage receivables, follow up on invoices, and ensure healthy cash flow on every deal you close.
- Grow existing accounts — transition procurement-led relationships upstream to brand and marketing teams, increasing wallet share and deal continuity.
What We're Looking For
- 8–10+ years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management, B2B Sales, or Promo/FMCG-related roles
- Strong existing network of Brand Managers and senior Marketing decision-makers — you should be able to pick up the phone and get a meeting
- Deep understanding of FMCG, retail, open-market, and promotional ecosystems in Nigeria
- Prior experience in or alongside a promotional/marketing agency
- Proven track record of managing full sales cycles — from first meeting through to delivery and payment
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills and the discipline to follow through
