Business Development/Marketing Coordinator
$52,124 - $62,773/yr
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- Support and coordinate the full BD pipeline: tracking leads, managing CRM data, and facilitating go/no-go decisions
- Research prospective clients, project opportunities, and market trends
- Coordinate and prepare materials for client meetings, presentations, and interviews
- Assist in developing and maintaining key client relationships through touchpoint coordination and follow-through
- Identify and track relevant RFP/RFQ opportunities through public and private channels
- Support coordination of teaming arrangements, subconsultant agreements, and joint venture pursuits
Proposals and Pursuit Materials
- Lead the day-to-day production of qualifications packages, proposals, and presentation decks
- Maintain and continuously improve a library of project descriptions, resumes, boilerplate content, and photography
- Write and edit compelling narratives that articulate SVA’s value proposition, differentiators, and project experience
- Coordinate input from project managers and principals to meet proposal deadlines without sacrificing quality
Marketing and Communications
- Manage and update SVA’s website content to reflect current projects, team credentials, and firm news
- Coordinate social media presence with consistent, professional content
- Support award submissions, press releases, and editorial opportunities in local and national trade publications
- Assist in planning and executing client events, industry conference attendance, and sponsorships
- Maintain brand standards across all external communications and materials
- Maintain and improve the CRM system (experience with Deltek Ajera or similar AEC CRMs preferred)
- Track BD activity metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership
- Coordinate with the project team to capture photos, project data, and client testimonials upon project completion
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 3–6 years of experience in a business development, marketing, or proposal role within an AEC firm
- Demonstrated experience writing and producing AEC proposals and qualifications packages (SF330 experience a plus)
- Strong written communication skills — able to translate technical project experience into compelling client-facing narratives
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and the Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with AEC CRM platforms (Deltek Ajera, Salesforce, or equivalent)
- Highly organized with strong project management instincts and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Self-starter who can operate with limited oversight and proactively identify opportunities
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Experience supporting healthcare or institutional pursuits
- Familiarity with public and private procurement processes (MDHHS, hospital systems, municipalities)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite beyond InDesign (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Exposure to website development
- Membership or familiarity with SMPS (Society for Marketing Professional Services)
Pay: $52,124.56 - $62,773.66 per year
