- VPS grade 5 - $116,413 - $140,849 plus superannuation.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Case Management Practice Lead to provide a critical role within Parole and Court Practice
About the Business Unit
Community Operations is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's Community Correctional Services (CCS) across more than 35 locations. It ensures individuals subject to CCS supervision are safely managed in the community and aims to rehabilitate individuals by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Parole and Court Practice is responsible for providing central end-to-end oversight of the CCS service system and includes System Integrity (SI), Practice Development and Review Branch, Court Assessment and Prosecutions Services Central Unit, Statewide Community Work and Partnerships and Parole Central Unit.
SI is responsible for providing best practice interventions which aim to reduce the risk of reoffending including quality assurance systems for risk assessment and case management.
About the Role
The Case Management Practice Lead is responsible for providing expert advice to CCS staff regarding best practice case management and will contribute to the integrity, implementation and embedding of continuous practice improvement. The Case Management Practice Lead will be responsible for a portfolio of activities, which may include:
- Providing support and advice to specific CCS regions
- Development and implementation of priority strategic projects
- Internal and external stakeholder management
- Management of contracted services.
Portfolio allocation may change depending on organisational priorities, and travel to regional locations will be required.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated expertise in best practice case management and associated practices in a forensic setting.
- Demonstrated understanding and operational knowledge of CCS, and key issues impacting Corrections Victoria or like organisations.
- Sound knowledge of Victorian government administrative processes (desirable).
Qualifications/requirements
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
