Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and manage the distribution of a wide range of communications materials, including presentations, webinars, newsletters, web content, surveys and email campaigns.
- Ensure materials are visually polished, accessible and aligned with corporate branding standards.
- Support the delivery of external business consulting offerings by developing communication messaging, crafting presentation materials and facilitating engagement sessions.
- Support the development of marketing plans for HSC’s core service offerings and guide business units based on best practices and corporate business priorities.
- Support Senior Management with organizational communications needs relating to corporate priorities, including Inclusion Diversity Equity and Accessibility priorities, staff engagement and training, and the creation of corporate resources and policies.
- Create and manage an internal communications calendar, including developing content, liaising with speakers and executing sessions in a timely, proactive and responsive manner.
- Special projects and other duties as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a team member with the following:
- 5+ years of progressive work experience, including communications planning and execution.
- Post-Secondary Education in communications or a related field of study (or equivalent experience) is required.
- Comfort learning and using digital platforms and communications tools is required, including webinar platforms, email and website content management systems (Zoom Webinar, MailChimp, and Wordpress preferred)
- Experience with document/design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms is preferred).
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on a number of different initiatives concurrently, while maintaining attention to detail, is required.
- Ability to independently set and accomplish goals and establish priorities with minimal direction.
- Experience working in public sector is an asset.
What We Offer:
As a small and collaborative organization, we value team members who are proactive, adaptable and willing to contribute across a variety of projects. While employees are trusted to work independently and take initiative, support and collaboration are central to how we work.
