What does it take to bring a global community of educators together - and make every voice count?
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
We're looking for a Community & Advocacy Manager to help shape and grow our global educator network. You'll play a key role in how Cambridge connects with schools, students and partners worldwide. Through high-quality experiences and engagement activity, you will strengthen relationships with educators and contribute to Cambridge's influence in international education.
About the role
This is a hands-on role where you'll shape and deliver Cambridge's approach to community and advocacy. You'll grow a global network of educators and students, ensuring our activity is relevant, valuable and consistently drives participation and insight.
You'll design and deliver events and content that enable educators to connect, share practice and contribute to Cambridge's work. This will include working closely with colleagues across marketing, education and regional teams to deliver activity that is globally consistent and locally relevant.
You'll also support Cambridge's advocacy work, helping to deliver thought leadership that strengthens our position as a trusted partner in international education.
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Lead initiatives that increase participation and engagement across Cambridge's global school community.
- Develop content and activity that encourages collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Design and deliver community experiences including events and webinars end-to-end.
- Work with regional teams to tailor activity for different markets.
- Partner with internal teams to deliver joined-up campaigns and thought leadership.
- Amplify the voice of educators and students through community and advocacy initiatives.
This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.
About you
You'll bring demonstrable experience in community-building, marketing or engagement roles, and a track record of delivering initiatives that bring people together at scale. You're comfortable working across both strategy and delivery, able to prioritise and deliver in a global context.
You'll also be able to show experience of:
- delivering community or engagement programmes (online and/or in person).
- planning and delivering events from concept through to execution.
- creating content that encourages participation, engagement and belonging.
- working with a range of stakeholders, internally and externally.
If you meet the above minimum requirements, we encourage you to apply. Your application will be stronger if you can demonstrate experience of:
- working with global or international education audiences.
- building online communities, ambassador networks or engagement programmes.
- using data and insight to shape and improve activity.
