About the role
This role is located within the British Library’s Community Participation Team, who are responsible for leading on the Library’s engagement with families, young people, community groups and adult learners. The collection is at the heart of this unique learning programme which offers a range of opportunities for audiences to explore, connect and interact both onsite, online and nationally.
The role is responsible for managing and programming the community space in the Library’s forecourt/Piazza in St Pancras. They will support on the delivery of the Library’s wider community engagement projects linked to the British Library Extension project in St Pancras, building and strengthening relationships with local communities in Camden and surrounding areas. The post-holder is responsible for the delivery of a core programme of onsite and outreach activities with community partners.
Main duties include designing and delivering a programme of onsite and outreach activities, commissioning workshop leaders and creative practitioners to lead sessions, and building relationships both within the community and with external partners to grow the programme.
