Position Title: Community Resource Specialist
Reports To: Executive Director
Compensation: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour
Work Environment: Hybrid (Office, Community-Based, Home-Based, and Remote Work)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Resource Specialist serves as a key connector between individuals, families, and community resources. This position helps community members navigate systems, access supports, overcome barriers, and build protective factors that strengthen families and communities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct strengths-based assessments and resource navigation.
• Connect families to healthcare, behavioral health, housing, food, transportation, employment, and educational resources.
• Provide advocacy, outreach, and follow-up support.
• Represent the Community & Family Resource Center at community events.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations.
• Facilitate workshops, support groups, and educational activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with reporting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of experience in human services, child welfare, social services, healthcare, education, community outreach, or related field.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Experience in resource navigation, case management, family support, or community engagement.
• Experience developing community partnerships and facilitating presentations.
• Knowledge of Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework.
