Construction Manager β Environmental Services
$28 - $45/hr
Seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead all seeding, hydroseeding, mulching, and disking operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing crews, equipment, production schedules, project profitability, customer relationships, and overall field operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, understands equipment management, and can effectively balance project execution, cost control, and team accountability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all seeding, hydroseeding, mulching, and disking operations.
- Manage field supervisors and crew leaders.
- Monitor project schedules, production goals, quality standards, and profitability.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to contract requirements.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and opportunities directly with ownership.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
Equipment & Fleet Management
- Oversee company-owned and rented equipment.
- Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, and operating efficiently.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and repairs.
- Monitor equipment utilization and minimize downtime.
- Manage vendor relationships and equipment repair providers.
Leadership & Accountability
- Lead, mentor, and develop field personnel and crew leaders.
- Hold teams accountable for safety, productivity, equipment care, and documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of jobsites, vehicles, and equipment.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Monitor project costs and profitability.
- Maintain accurate records using BusyBusy and company management systems.
- Review project expenses, receipts, equipment rentals, and production reports.
- Assist ownership in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Verify labor, equipment, and production records are entered daily.
- Ensure repair approvals and maintenance documentation are properly maintained.
- Enforce company procedures, policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of construction, environmental services, or heavy equipment management experience.
- Proven experience leading field crews and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of equipment operations, maintenance, and repair coordination.
- Ability to read project plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with mobile technology and construction management software.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Pay: $28.68 - $45.00 per hour
