Content Creator
Get In Early on Something Being Built.
The Wanderlust Co. started as a short-term rental property management company. We’re now one of the largest in Arkansas — over 100 properties, a fast-growing team, and national expansion already underway.
We lead with storytelling. We’re building the in-house creative capability to back that up — and we’re looking for a Content Creator to be part of that from the start.
This role is designed to grow. How fast and how far depends entirely on you.
The Role
This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be in the field shooting content, back at your workstation editing it, and actively managing and engaging on our social platforms. You’ll follow the team day-to-day — knowing when to roll and when to observe.
You’ll work under our Creative Manager with direct visibility to ownership. We provide all the equipment, the direction, and the platform. You bring the eye, the initiative, and the consistency to execute. AI is something we invest in heavily and use every day. Proficiency is required. Willingness to learn is equally welcome.
What You’ll Do
- Follow the Wanderlust team day-to-day capturing behind-the-scenes content, property shoots, and real moments as they happen
- Shoot short-form video and photo content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other platforms
- Edit video and photo content using AI-assisted and professional editing tools
- Manage and execute the social media content calendar
- Actively engage on social platforms — responding to comments, DMs, and building community
- Capture property walkthroughs, team interactions, and culture moments
- Organize and maintain a growing content library
- Stay current on platform trends, formats, and AI tools — and bring what you find back to the team
What We’re Looking For
Major matters less than your portfolio — but strong candidates tend to come from:
- Film & Digital Media — strong production instincts, knows how to frame and light
- Marketing or Advertising — understands audience and content strategy
- Journalism or Digital Storytelling — trained to find the story in real situations
- Graphic Design or Visual Arts — strong eye, comfortable with Adobe and AI design tools
- Computer Science or Information Systems — if you’re also creative, you’re our AI-native candidate
Beyond the degree:
- Actively using AI tools — CapCut AI, Descript, Adobe Firefly, Runway, ChatGPT for scripting, or similar
- Comfortable operating a camera in real environments (we provide all equipment)
- Strong visual eye — you notice light, composition, and moments others walk past
- Comfortable engaging on social media on behalf of a brand — responsive, on-voice, and consistent
- Self-starter who can operate in the field without constant direction
- Organized and reliable — you show up, you deliver
- Bonus: Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or Canva experience
- Bonus: an existing social presence of your own — shows you create, not just consume
What We Provide
- All camera and production equipment — you don’t need to own a thing
- Access to professional design services and brand assets
- Direct mentorship from our Creative Manager and visibility to ownership
- A real and growing platform — over 100 properties today, expanding nationally
- A small team that moves fast, holds a high bar, and actually enjoys the work
- Attribution for your work — this builds your portfolio and your resume
- Flexible scheduling built around real content opportunities
- Academic credit arrangements available
- We promote from within. The ceiling here is high.
