Digital Marketing Coordinator | Training Day Gym | Hybrid (Clayton/Burwood/Scoresby)
At Training Day Gym, we've built one of Melbourne's strongest gym communities - 5000+ five-star reviews, three locations, and a culture where strength and kindness coexist. We're looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator who can own our Meta ads in-house, create scroll-stopping content, and write copy that drives membership growth.
The Role
Start as Coordinator (30 hrs/week, $73-78k) or (FTE, ~$100-107k) and Lead digital marketing delivery across paid channels, content creation, and member communications - with a clear path to owning Meta ads in-house within 3 months.
Digital Performance & Paid Media
- Build, launch, and optimize Meta ad campaigns driving membership growth across our gyms
- Manage ad budgets, audience targeting, creative testing, and performance optimization
- Own Meta performance: ROAS, cost per lead, CAC, conversion rates
- Write ad copy and landing page content that converts
- Manage our Google/SEO agency - set strategy, review performance, coordinate optimization
- Use GA4, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Ads to analyze performance and make data-driven decisions
Ad Content Creation
- Create high-performing ad content (static + video) using Canva, CapCut
- Produce UGC-style ads that capture Training Day's authentic gym culture
- Film and edit content at our gyms: member stories, workout clips, testimonials
- Build ad creative testing frameworks to continuously improve performance
Member Communications
- Own email marketing strategy: nurture sequences, newsletters, lifecycle campaigns
- Copywriting across all touchpoints: emails, landing pages, member announcements
- Build and optimize email funnels in Clubfit (lead nurturing, onboarding, win-back)
- Develop automated communication sequences that reduce churn and strengthen community
What You'll Bring
Required:
- 2-5 years digital marketing with hands-on Meta Ads Manager experience
- Proven track record delivering strong ROAS, cost per lead, and conversion outcomes
- Strong copywriting and email marketing skills
- Content creation skills (filming, editing, design)
- Performance marketing mindset - you think in funnels and test religiously
- Agency coordination experience
- Analytical skills (GA4, Meta Ads Manager, spreadsheets)
- Self-directed and autonomous
Highly Regarded:
- Gym/fitness/wellness marketing experience
- Email platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Clubfit)
- Facebook Pixel setup and troubleshooting
- Google Ads knowledge
- CRO and landing page optimization experience
- Portfolio of ad content you've created (video ads, static posts, UGC-style content)
Must-Have Traits:
- Equally comfortable building Meta campaigns, filming gym content, and writing emails that convert
- Know the difference between vanity metrics and revenue-driving metrics
- Create "scroll-stopping authentic content" not "corporate polished content"
- Take full ownership - if ROAS drops, you test solutions
