Digital Marketing Coordinator

*Summer Student Position*

Tekarra Project Services Ltd. is a Western Canadian energy company focused on support for projects that promote environmental protection within the professional scientific and technical oil and gas services through technical analysis and forward thinking. To achieve these goals, Tekarra is seeking a self-motivated, ambitious, and professional Summer Student to support our Calgary-based team.

General Responsibilities:

· Perform social media marketing research.

· Building and executing social media strategies.

· Monitoring all social media content and analytics for campaigns.

· Provide constructive feedback.

· Respond to customer queries through social networks.

· Media planning, strategy and analytics

· Ability to perform as mascot for promotional events

Experience, Qualifications, and Education:

- Marketing or Sales Experience

- Represent the Company in a Fun, yet professional manner

- Clean background with nothing that could damage company image

- Video creation & editing experience

- A people person and enjoys engaging with others

- Extravert and knows how to hustle; shows strong initiative

· Advanced knowledge of social channels relevant to the company’s success.

· Excellent interviewing skills.

· Ability to work on tight deadlines.

· Flexibility

· Strong analytical skills

· Advanced knowledge of social media advertising platforms.

· Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or refugee status.

Working Conditions:

In office with occasional local events in Calgary, Alberta

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our startup team and help us promote our new social media mobile app to new partners, groups, and users. You will be responsible for reaching out to business partners, charities, university/ college/ high school student groups, social activity groups, influencers, and more to build win-win relationships and grow our userbase. We offer an exciting opportunity to work in an exciting local tech startup in a position with a possibility to grow with the organization.

The ideal candidate would:

· have experience in promotions or sales

· use social media frequently in their daily lives, have experience creating and sharing content in social media

· represent the brand in a professional and positive manner.

· be an outgoing people person and have great social skills. Love conversations and meeting new people.

· Comfortable working with coaches, teachers, students, and charity organizations.

· be self-motivated, proactive and responsible.

· comfortable with the use of technology.

· a background/ education/ interest in business, marketing, tech, and startups a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Live in Calgary area.

· High school diploma.

· Students in post secondary or completed post secondary are welcome to apply.

· Ability to travel to various locations throughout Calgary, opportunities for travel in Canada and US.

· Excellent English communication & presentation skills.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
