Environmental Field Specialist (Contract) β Wetlands Feasibility Project
We’re seeking an Environmental Field Specialist to support a feasibility-level wetlands evaluation for the Central Oklahoma Master Conservancy District (COMCD). This role supports a prime engineering firm with fieldwork, environmental data collection, and regulatory prep for two proposed free-surface flow wetland sites.
Responsibilities
· Conduct field visits, site reconnaissance, and environmental observations
· Document hydrology, vegetation, access, and site constraints
· Assist with wetlands screening, habitat notes, and geomorphology field support
· Gather environmental data (NWI, floodplain maps, USGS topo, etc.)
· Support permitting prep (CWA 404/401, NEPA, ESA, FEMA floodplain, etc.)
· Provide field insights for conceptual design and feasibility analysis
· Participate in stakeholder or technical meetings as needed
Qualifications
· 3–10 years in environmental fieldwork, wetlands, watershed, or water-quality projects
· Strong field documentation and reporting skills
· Comfortable working outdoors in varied terrain
· Familiarity with Oklahoma environmental conditions
· Experience supporting engineering or environmental consulting teams
Preferred
· CWSRF-funded project experience
· GIS/LiDAR familiarity
· Knowledge of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs)
1099 Contract Possibility of Full time
