The Public Health Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Environmental Health Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
Deliver routine regulatory and non-regulatory environmental health services to protect, promote and prevent risks to the community arising from environmental health hazards that impact on the natural and built environment and human health.
About the Team
The Mackay Public Health Unit delivers a range of services by focusing on protecting health, preventing disease, illness and injury; and promoting health and wellbeing as a community rather than individuals. This is achieved by working collaboratively with and supporting a range of organisations including other health services; other government departments; local governments; non-government agencies, industries and local communities.
About our Hospital and Health Service
Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
