Environmental Health & Safety Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
To establish and promote maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions and to recommend measures to decrease or eliminate industrial risks and health hazards in compliance with OSHA regulations. To systematically coordinate environmental management towards pollution prevention, commitment to regulatory compliance and continual improvement. Demonstrates proficiency and competency in use of Involvement of Personnel tools, which support the TISIX continuous improvement philosophy. Actively supports the TISIX, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems, and supports all necessary activities to fully implement all management systems into all aspects of TitanX operations. Assumes Deputy Responsibilities as assigned in accordance with Procedure Admin/4.1.2/02. Performs miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages programs to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents, health & ergonomic hazards, and environmental risks.
2. Investigates plant accidents, complaints and inquiries for both safety and environmental.
3. Responsible for managing compliance to Environmental and Safety regulations and other requirements.
4. Ensure that the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System requirements are established, implemented and maintained, and as Management Representative for ISO 14001, report on EHS performance to management as a basis of Management System review and improvement.
5. Participates with the Union Safety Committee in the areas of meetings, audits, and corrective actions.
6. Acts as a deputy in the area of fire protection and Plant Security.
7. Conducts Monthly Safety Audits
8. Coordinates the First Aid Program
9. Develops procedures for safety and environmental practices; schedules and oversees all safety and environmental training requirements, instructs when necessary.
10. Monitor regulatory development and participate as needed to protect TitanX interests and provide technical interpretation of applicable safety and environmental laws.
11. Responsible for assigned department document control per IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Enviromental Health and Safety Management Systems.
12. Responsible for compliance for all Company related procedures and work instructions.
REQUIREMENT PROFILE
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental/Safety, business administration or equivalent field
- Five (5) years experience in an Environmental/Safety Manufacturing environment with a thorough knowledge of EHS Regulations and industry practices.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
