ABOUT US
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
Summit Environmental is a Boise-based environmental consulting firm recently acquired by the Center for Ecolonomic Excellence & Development (CEED) — the operational arm of a growing platform of environmental and land stewardship companies built on one premise: healthy ecology and profitable enterprise don't just coexist — they reinforce each other.
CEED is affiliated with the Institute of Ecolonomics (IOE), a 501(c)(3) founded by the late actor and environmentalist Dennis Weaver and led by Dr. Wayne Dorband — a serial entrepreneur with 45+ years of environmental business experience. Dr. Dorband founded ATC Environmental (taken public in the mid-1980s), co-founded Cherokee Investment Partners and International Risk Group — collectively deploying over $2.2 billion across 550+ brownfield properties — and has spent his career proving that the most profitable thing you can do is make the planet better.
Summit Environmental is the first acquisition in a deliberate Intermountain West rollup strategy. We are building something — and this hire is central to it.

THE OPPORTUNITY
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
This is not a typical environmental manager role.
Yes, you will manage field projects — site assessments, remediation oversight, regulatory compliance, Phase I/II ESAs, hazardous materials management, and microbial consulting. But the person we're looking for sees that work as a foundation, not a ceiling.
As we grow the Boise operation through additional acquisitions and organic business development, this role will evolve into Regional Operations Director — overseeing field scientists and project managers, driving business development, and eventually stepping into broader leadership of CEED's environmental consulting platform.
For the right person, this is a career-defining opportunity — a chance to grow with a mission-driven company from the ground floor and potentially assume ownership and leadership as the platform matures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
- Lead field project execution — Phase I/II ESAs, soil and groundwater investigations, remediation oversight, hazardous materials handling, microbial assessments, compliance reporting, and regulatory submissions across Idaho and the Intermountain West
- Be the face of Summit in the field — build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies (Idaho DEQ, EPA Region 10, BLM, Army Corps)
- Manage project budgets and schedules — own project P&L from scoping through invoicing
- Mentor junior staff as the team grows
- Support business development — identify new client opportunities and help position Summit as the go-to environmental consulting firm in the region
WHAT YOU'LL GROW INTO:
- Regional Operations Director as we hire additional staff and acquire more firms
- Potential path to VP or C-suite responsibility across CEED's full environmental consulting portfolio
- Equity and profit-sharing consideration for the right candidate as the platform scales
