The Town of Marana is seeking an Environmental Specialist OR Environmental Technician to work in the Development Services Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in stormwater compliance, environmental permitting, and plan review. The Town offers a competitive benefits package. Environmental Technician Expected Hiring Range: $22.30 - $27.32 per hourPlacement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.Full Salary Range: $22.30 – $32.34 per hourEnvironmental Specialist Expected Hiring Range: $24.31 - $29.78 per hourPlacement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.Salary Range: $24.31 - $35.25 per hour
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree.Over six months of experience in stormwater inspections, environmental programs, compliance permitting, or a closely related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to perform essential functions successfully may be considered.Additional Requirements: A valid Arizona Driver's License.Must complete a pre-employment Physical.Must complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree in natural science, environmental science, engineering, or a closely related field.ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree.Over three years’ experience in stormwater inspections, environmental programs, compliance permitting, or a closely related field.
