Senior Environmental Professional Reclamation & Reclamation (Contract)
Northeast BC | Hybrid
Ecocan Environmental is seeking an experienced, designated Environmental Professional to lead contaminated sites and reclamation projects in Northeast BC. This is a contract position with a hybrid work arrangement and a negotiable term based on availability and project needs.
In this role you will lead projects from scoping through close-out preparing work plans and cost estimates, managing remediation and reclamation field programs, reviewing and signing technical reports, and serving as a key point of contact for clients, regulators, and contractors. You will also support proposals, mentor junior staff, and help ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Qualifications:
- P.Ag. or R.P.Bio. designation in good standing, recognized in BC, with signing authority on environmental reports.
- Experience with reclamation and remediation programs.
- Strong knowledge of BC environmental regulations and contaminated sites framework.
- Experience managing technically complex environmental projects.
- Strong leadership skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Mentor and train staff; ensure work is completed safely and correctly.
- Strong attention to detail and professional organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and responsible environmental practices.
Pay: $35.00-$48.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Fort St. John, BC
