About SkilLoop
SkilLoop is building Africa’s first Knowledge Exchange & Build Platform.
We believe everyone has something to teach and something to learn. Through fast, human-centered skill exchanges and collaborative projects, we’re helping young professionals gain practical skills, build portfolios, and grow together.
We’re currently assembling our founding team and looking for a passionate Content & Community Lead to help shape our voice, grow our audience, and build a thriving community around the product.
Role Overview
As the Founding Content & Community Lead, you will be responsible for growing SkilLoop’s online presence, building engagement around our mission, and helping us attract early users before and after launch.
This is not just a content role. You will help define how people perceive and connect with the SkilLoop brand.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
- Develop and manage SkilLoop’s content calendar.
- Create engaging content for LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
- Write captions, posts, announcements, and community updates.
- Turn product updates into compelling content.
- Support launch campaigns and waitlist growth initiatives.
Community Building
- Engage with users across social media and online communities.
- Manage community conversations and respond to inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to introduce SkilLoop into relevant tech, student, and professional communities.
- Help foster a positive and active community culture.
Brand Growth
- Assist in executing SkilLoop’s GTM strategy.
- Promote our Founding Experts and success stories.
- Gather testimonials, user stories, and feedback.
- Contribute ideas for campaigns, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the founders, product team, and designers.
- Coordinate with design to create high-quality content assets.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and planning sessions.
Requirements
- Strong written communication skills.
- Experience managing social media accounts or communities.
- Understanding of content marketing and audience engagement.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and online communities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Passion for startups, education, technology, and community building.
Nice to Have
- Graphic design skills.
- Copywriting experience.
- Experience growing online communities.
- Experience with content planning tools.

Compensation
This is currently an equity-based founding team position.
As an early contributor, you will have the opportunity to help shape the company, influence key decisions, and grow alongside the platform as we move toward launch and future growth phases.
