Founding Content Creator
Founding Content Creator (Cebu, In-Office)
Short-form video · Social media · AI-native marketing · Founding team
Zalio is building the AI operating system for SMBs — and our gym, Momentum Health + Fitness, is our testing ground in Australia. We're hiring our first dedicated content creator in Cebu to work alongside the founding team and build both brands from the ground up.
This isn't a "post 4 reels a week" job. You'll be the creative engine behind two brands at once — Momentum (an Australian fitness brand) and Zalio (a global AI startup). Most of what you make will come from inside the Cebu office: you, the team, the build, the culture, the day-to-day of an early-stage company actually shipping.
You'll be one of the faces on camera for that — talking head, BTS, walk-and-talks around the office, reactions, team moments. Zack stays the face of Zalio externally. Momentum's gym content is shot in Australia. Your lane is the Cebu studio: the people, the process, the build-in-public story that nobody else can tell because nobody else is in the room.
Here's the framing that matters: We see ourselves as a media company that happens to sell AI products. Content isn't a marketing function bolted onto the business — it is the business, sitting next to the product. The person who takes this role isn't supporting marketing. They're building the engine that builds the company.
If you're already filming your life, editing in CapCut on the way home, and watching TikTok with the sound off to figure out why a video works — we want to talk.
What you'll actually do
On-camera, behind-camera, editing, and strategising — every day:
- Shoot short-form video for Instagram and TikTok — Cebu office content, team culture, build-in-public moments, behind-the-scenes from the studio.
- Be on camera yourself when the moment calls for it — talking head, POV, walk-and-talk around the office, reactions to what's happening in the room.
- Edit in CapCut, Premiere, or whatever gets the cut done fastest.
- Cut and assemble content shot by others — Zack's founder content from Australia, Momentum gym footage, raw recordings from team members.
- Direct the team in Cebu on camera when they need to appear. Tell them when to do another take. Tell them when the take was the one.
Read the platforms like a native:
- Spot trends on Monday, shoot Tuesday, post Wednesday. We move fast.
- Know what works on TikTok vs. what works on Instagram — and adapt, never copy-paste between them.
- Track your numbers. If a format works, double down. If it flops, cut it.
Help build the brand from scratch:
- We're early. Brand voice, visual style, content pillars — none of it is locked. You'll have a real say in how Zalio and Momentum sound and feel online.
- Pitch campaign ideas. Run shoots. Coordinate with members, ambassadors, and the founding team.
The ceiling on this role
There isn't one.
You're joining early. That's not a slogan — it's the actual structural reality of where the company is. The people who join now define the culture, the systems, and the senior team later.
- No cap on promotions. If you outgrow the role in 12 months, the role grows with you. Head of Content. Creative Director. Whatever the right title is for what you've become.
- No cap on pay rises. Performance moves the number. If you're outproducing your salary band, we move you up — we don't wait for an annual review cycle.
- No cap on equity. The 6-month probation unlocks the first tranche. After that, more releases as you take on more scope.
This is a role with a floor, not a ceiling. The floor is a fair salary and a clear path. The ceiling is whatever you can build.
What you'll get
Compensation structure (be clear-eyed about this):
- Probation period — you join as a full-time contractor on a 6-month probation. Competitive Cebu market salary.
- At 6 months — switched to employee status with an equity release. Real ownership in Zalio.
Beyond the cash and the stake:
- Founding team status. Your name on the wall. The people who join now define the culture later.
- A front-row seat to AI. You'll work with the same AI tools the engineering team uses — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, custom-built agents. It'll change how you think about content and your output capabilities forever.
- Real creative freedom. No 14-step approval chains. If it's good, it goes.
- The best content comes from being in the room when ideas start flying.
What we're looking for
You're probably a fit if you:
- Have shot, edited, and posted short-form video for a brand, a creator, or yourself — and have a portfolio or social presence to show it.
- Are natural on camera. No stiffness. No over-rehearsed energy.
- Know your way around CapCut, InShot, or Premiere well enough that editing isn't the bottleneck.
- Can explain why a video performs — hook, pacing, retention, format — not just that it did.
- Have shipped content for Instagram and TikTok, and understand they're different beasts.
- Are genuinely plugged into internet culture — memes, creator drama, platform shifts, trending audio.
- Speak and write English well enough to write captions, hooks, and CTAs that don't feel translated.
- Are curious about AI tools and excited (not threatened) by the idea of working with them daily.
You don't need:
- A marketing degree.
- A huge personal following.
- Five years of agency experience.
We pick attitude over credentials. Every time.
How to apply
Send us:
- A cover letter — most importantly, why this founding role suits you, and what you'd shoot in your first week if we hired you.
- Your portfolio — accounts you've worked on, content you've created, or links to short-form video you've made (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, anywhere).
- Your resume — don't stress if there's not much on it. We care about the work, not the format.
