Gallery Manager/Artist Relations & Marketing Coordinator
Artist & Curator Relations
- Identify, contact, and build relationships with emerging and established visual artists.
- Coordinate meetings, gallery visits, and exhibition proposals.
- Liaise with curators, collectors, galleries, art institutions, and cultural organizations.
- Assist artists throughout the exhibition process.
Exhibition Management
- Plan and coordinate exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and special events.
- Manage exhibition schedules and gallery calendar.
- Oversee artwork documentation, inventory, installation, and deinstallation.
- Coordinate logistics related to artworks, framing, transportation, and display.
Marketing & Social Media
- Create and implement social media content strategies.
- Maintain active presence on Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
- Produce engaging content featuring artists, exhibitions, artworks, and gallery activities.
- Prepare press releases, exhibition announcements, and promotional materials.
- Grow audience engagement and expand gallery visibility.
Business Development
- Help build a network of artists, collectors, designers, architects, and art patrons.
- Support artwork sales and client inquiries.
- Develop partnerships with organizations, brands, and educational institutions.
- Identify opportunities for gallery growth and community engagement.
Administrative Functions
- Maintain artist and client databases.
- Prepare exhibition reports and documentation.
- Assist in budgeting and event coordination.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day gallery operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Strong interest in contemporary art, visual arts, and creative industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in social media management and content creation.
- Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Photography, graphic design, or event management experience is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a gallery, museum, creative studio, cultural institution, or similar environment is preferred but not required.
