This is a ground-floor opportunity to build and shape the inventory and stockroom operations of flagship from day one — establishing the systems, processes, and standards that will define how we operate.
Role Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and data-driven Inventory & Stock Manager to own all aspects of inventory management and stockroom operations at our NYC flagship store. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate stock levels, efficient inbound/outbound logistics, and full compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is methodical, tech-savvy, and experienced in retail or FMCG inventory operations, with strong communication skills in both English and Korean to support collaboration with our headquarters team in South Korea.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound / Outbound & Warehouse Operations
- Manage all inbound and outbound shipments, including receiving, inspection, labeling, and storage in the stockroom
- Maintain an organized, clean, and space-efficient stockroom; continuously optimize storage layout and operational flow
- Ensure all products are handled, stored, and displayed in compliance with safety, hygiene, and quality standards
- Coordinate with freight and logistics vendors to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries
Inventory Management & Reporting
- Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to maintain data accuracy
- Prepare and submit timely inventory reports to the General Manager and HQ Upper Management as required
- Monitor stock levels, identify replenishment needs, and communicate proactively with the General Manager and HQ logistics team
- Track, investigate, and promptly report product discrepancies, damages, losses, or shrinkage; implement corrective measures as directed
Systems & Data Management
- Operate and maintain POS and ERP systems to ensure real-time inventory data accuracy and operational efficiency
- Maintain organized records of all shipments, stock movements, adjustments, and audit results
- Identify and flag system discrepancies; escalate issues involving significant financial exposure or operational risk to Upper Management
HQ & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary liaison between the store and HQ logistics team in South Korea for all inventory and fulfillment matters
- Coordinate with the General Manager, Assistant Manager, and other store personnel to support efficient day-to-day operations
- Receive and execute operational directives and performance objectives issued by Upper Management; provide regular updates and escalate material issues as required
Additional Duties
- Perform such additional or modified duties as may be assigned by the Company or Upper Management from time to time, in a professional, timely, and cooperative manner
Qualifications
Required
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in inventory, stock management, warehousing, or logistics — entry-level candidates with relevant education or internship experience will also be considered
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, numbers-driven approach to managing stock and data
- Proficiency with POS and/or ERP inventory management systems
- Bilingual in English and Korean (written and spoken) — required for HQ communication
- Ability to work in a physically active environment; comfortable lifting and moving product boxes as needed
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as business needs require
Preferred
- Experience in beauty retail, K-beauty, or FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) industry
- Prior experience working with or for a K-beauty brand
- Valid driver's license
- Strong data analysis skills; experience using Excel or inventory reporting tools to track KPIs and identify trends
- Familiarity with loss-prevention procedures and shrinkage control
Compensation & Schedule
Compensation is commensurate with experience and in compliance with applicable New York State and federal laws. Salary details will be discussed during the interview process. Benefits information will be provided during the offer process.
Schedule: 5 times a week, 2 days off, off on 5 major fed holidays.
Hours: 11am~8pm
OT paid
Pay: Up to $86,000.00 per year
