In-Person Sales and Marketing Specialist
Carolina Tarps is a small family-owned business blessed with over 15 years of growth, serving the commercial trucking industry.
We are an online business, shipping all over the country, but many of our customers choose to pick up from our warehouse in Piedmont SC. We want to seize the opportunity and grow that side of the business, which is where YOU come in!
As the In-Person Sales & Marketing Specialist, your mission will be to oversee and GROW pickups and retail sales. You will manage the showroom, streamline the pickup process, and carry out marketing initiatives that increase foot traffic. We have a small showroom, but we are expanding it and trying to draw in more of the regional market. You will be responsible for the following:
- Creating an excellent experience for both online pickup and walk-in customers. This includes assisting customers, processing orders, picking products, and helping load orders onto customers’ trucks. It’s a very hands-on job!
- Managing and improving the showroom/retail area
- Proactively managing inventory to ensure tidiness, accurate counts, and ease of access
- Preparing pickup orders in advance
- Implementing local marketing strategies, primarily through social media engagement and direct marketing.
- Helping cover other customer service channels as needed, including phone and email
- Collecting customer reviews and product photos
- Collaborating with other team members on special projects as needed. It’s a small business, we work together!

- Be Technologically proficient
- Be able to handle some big ol’ heavy tarps
- Be comfortable working on your feet and with your hands (it can be a very physical job!)
Helpful Skills
Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian), Microsoft Access experience, Social Media Management experience, Retail Sales or Marketing, Truck or Automotive Experience, Industrial Sales
