Intern (m/f/d) in the area of Communications, Website, Social Media and Content Design Intern - GIZ Caribbean Portfolio

Within the Caribbean, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) supports regional cooperation on climate resilience, environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, renewable energy, circular economy approaches, and inclusive economic transformation. These priorities are implemented through a new regional GIZ portfolio developed in partnership with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and its 15 member states.<br><br>The Caribbean region faces complex and interconnected challenges, including the impacts of climate change, biodiversity loss, unsustainable waste management, energy insecurity, and limited economic opportunities for young people. In response, GIZ is implementing six regional projects that support sustainable and climate-resilient development across the Caribbean. The projects focus on green and blue skills development, the sustainable blue economy, climate-resilient energy systems, circular economy approaches, biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of organic waste and sargassum. All six regional projects started in 2025 and will run until 2028/2029. The main executing partner is the CARICOM Secretariat, based in Guyana. Country-level implementation focuses particularly on Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The GIZ project office for the portfolio is based in Saint Lucia, while the GIZ Regional Office in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic oversees the wider Caribbean portfolio.<br><br>You will support strategic communication and public outreach activities across the GIZ Caribbean portfolio in close coordination with the knowledge management team. Tasks include developing communication content, supporting social media outreach, devlopment of website, preparing communication materials, and assisting with digital, hybrid, and in-person events.
