You might be coming from a design, communications/writing, or events background – and now you're ready to build on that foundation and become a well-rounded marketing professional. In this role, you’ll have exposure to a broad range of marketing disciplines from day one, with the opportunity to take ownership of areas that match your strengths and interests.
You'll work closely with and report to the Group Manager – Communications & Marketing, supporting a wide range of activities across brand, digital, internal communications, events, and stakeholder engagement. This is a hands-on, varied role that offers real exposure to how marketing operates in a professional services context – with the guidance and mentorship to help you get there.

In 2025, SPA acquired Proximity, a well-established consultancy with specialist expertise in legal, consulting, and commercial advisory services to government. - Assist in delivering marketing campaigns from brief through to execution across digital and traditional channels
- Help maintain brand consistency and support creation of marketing collateral and content
- Lead implementation across marketing email and content management systems
- Support social media, website updates, and digital content calendar
- Draft, edit, and proofread internal and external communications and materials
- Internal communications management and development of training materials, guidelines and instructions
- Coordinate logistics for events, sponsorships and tradeshows
- Manage timelines, suppliers, and support end-to-end marketing project delivery to ensure activity is delivered on time
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, practice leads, and external partners
- Support reporting on campaign performance and marketing activity outcomes
- Project management across marketing deliverables
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design or a related field
- 3+ years’ experience in marketing, communications, design or events
- Strong writing and communication skills – clear, concise, and professional across different formats and audiences
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with digital platforms including social media, email marketing tools, or website CMS
- Candidates must be eligible to apply for an Australian Clearance
- Experience with, or a strong interest in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Exposure to professional services, consulting, or government- facing organisations
- Experience with platforms such as LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Pardot, or similar marketing automation tools
