Marketing Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist
Overview
The Marketing Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist serves as the agency's final layer of quality control, ensuring all client-facing deliverables meet established standards for accuracy, functionality, consistency, and professionalism before launch or distribution. This role works across departments to identify issues, reduce risk, improve quality, and maintain the trust clients place in our work.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, naturally curious, and able to identify issues before clients or end users encounter them.
This role is critical to maintaining client trust, reducing revisions and rework, and ensuring all deliverables meet Craft & Communicate's quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
Cross-Department Quality Assurance
- Review and validate client-facing deliverables across all agency departments prior to launch, publication, distribution, or client presentation.
- Ensure deliverables meet established standards for accuracy, functionality, consistency, branding, compliance, user experience, and overall quality.
- Identify and document errors, omissions, implementation issues, inconsistencies, or risks that may impact client outcomes.
- Verify that strategies, recommendations, and deliverables are implemented correctly and align with project requirements and agency standards.
- Maintain QA checklists and documentation for all departments.
- Track recurring errors and identify trends that may require additional training or process improvements.
- Conduct testing and validation of websites, campaigns, content, reporting, automations, and marketing initiatives to ensure readiness and performance.
- Collaborate with department leaders to resolve issues and maintain quality standards across all service areas.
Process Improvement & Quality Standards
- Develop, maintain, and improve QA processes, documentation, and review frameworks across departments.
- Identify recurring issues, trends, and operational gaps that contribute to errors or rework.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback that supports continuous improvement and a culture of accountability.
- Partner with department leaders to strengthen quality standards, training, and execution consistency.
- Recommend process enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and elevate overall agency quality.
Risk Management & Final Review
- Serve as the final quality checkpoint before client-facing deliverables are launched or distributed.
- Evaluate deliverables from the perspective of the client and end user, identifying potential concerns before they become issues.
- Escalate critical risks, implementation concerns, or quality issues to appropriate department leaders.
- Ensure agency work reflects the professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail expected by clients.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of quality assurance, proofreading, marketing operations, digital marketing, or related experience
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and deliverables
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience reviewing websites, emails, content, and marketing campaigns
- Ability to follow processes and enforce quality standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working across multiple departments and projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Agency experience strongly preferred
- Experience with WordPress
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Familiarity with Google Ads and Meta Ads
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or HubSpot
- Basic understanding of Schema markup and website functionality
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and reporting platforms
