Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Specialist who will lead the company’s marketing and social media efforts while helping drive new business opportunities and customer growth.
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s marketing initiatives, social media presence, business development support, and brand growth efforts. This role oversees the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, trade shows, networking events, and company events while contributing to strategies focused on attracting new customers and supporting incoming sales opportunities.
A key part of this role includes acting as a strategic sales thinker, identifying opportunities to generate new sales, strengthen lead pipelines, and actively support revenue growth initiatives through marketing-driven insights and outreach.
The position works closely with Leadership, Sales, Operations, and Design teams to strengthen brand awareness, generate leads, enhance customer engagement, and support overall company growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow the company’s social media platforms and online presence
- Create marketing content including posts, graphics, newsletters, and promotional materials
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate leads
- Assist in strategizing ways to attract new customers and support business growth initiatives
- Work closely with leadership and sales teams to support incoming sales efforts
- Coordinate company events, customer appreciation initiatives, and internal marketing activities
- Plan and organize trade shows, networking events, sponsorships, and promotional opportunities
- Assist with website updates, marketing analytics, and campaign tracking
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, industry partners, and event organizers
- Monitor industry trends and recommend new marketing opportunities and strategies
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in marketing, social media management, or business development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset with strong organizational and project management abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Experience with social media platforms, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar marketing tools considered an asset
- Experience planning events or trade shows is an asset
- Knowledge of CRM systems and digital marketing strategies is considered an asset
