Through high-energy DJ-led experiences, social-first content and culturally relevant events, CULTUR FM is building a global platform that connects music, culture, brands, cities and audiences.
As CULTUR FM continues to grow internationally, we are looking for a highly proactive PR & Partnerships Manager to help expand the brand’s visibility, media presence and cultural relationships across multiple markets.
The Role
CULTUR FM is looking for a PR & Partnerships Manager to own press, PR, media outreach, partnership research and cultural opportunity mapping for the brand.
This person will be responsible for helping CULTUR FM become more visible, better connected and more culturally embedded in every city and market we enter.
The role is not limited to one country or city. You will be expected to identify press features and partnership opportunities locally, internationally and across the wider diaspora, depending on where CULTUR FM is active.
You should be someone who is highly proactive, culturally aware, organised, confident with outreach, and able to bring opportunities to the team without waiting to be asked.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to make sure CULTUR FM is consistently:
- Seen by the right audiences
- Featured by relevant media platforms
- Connected to the right cultural figures
- Building relationships with aligned brands
- Entering new markets with strong local understanding
- Creating press-worthy stories around its events, partnerships and cultural moments
This role sits across PR, press outreach, partnerships, cultural research and city-by-city market mapping.
Key Responsibilities
1. Press & PR
You will be responsible for identifying and securing press opportunities for CULTUR FM.
This includes:
- Building and maintaining a media contact database
- Finding journalists, editors, writers, bloggers, podcasts, newsletters, radio shows and media platforms relevant to CULTUR FM
- Pitching CULTUR FM for features, interviews, event coverage, founder stories and cultural commentary
- Creating press angles around CULTUR FM’s events, partnerships, city launches and cultural moments
- Identifying opportunities across music, nightlife, youth culture, African/diaspora culture, creative business, brand marketing and global culture
- Drafting pitch emails, press blurbs, media notes and follow-up messages
- Tracking outreach, responses and next steps
- Building long-term relationships with relevant media contacts

- CULTUR FM is building a global platform for DJ culture
- DJs are becoming cultural influencers, and CULTUR FM is documenting that movement
- CULTUR FM connects African and diaspora nightlife culture across cities

2. Partnerships & Collaborations
You will identify brands, organisations, platforms and people CULTUR FM should collaborate with.
This includes:
- Brand partnerships
- Sound partnerships
- Drinks partnerships
- Fashion partnerships
- Media partnerships
- Venue partnerships
- Festival partnerships
- Community partnerships
- Creator collaborations
- DJ and collective collaborations
- Hotel, restaurant and lifestyle partnerships
- University and youth community partnerships
- Creative agency relationships
- Sponsor and activation opportunities
For each opportunity, you should be able to explain:
- Why it makes sense for CULTUR FM
- How the partner aligns with CULTUR FM’s audience
- What the collaboration could look like
- Who the relevant contact is
- How CULTUR FM should approach them
This role is not about creating random lists. It is about finding relevant opportunities that could genuinely help CULTUR FM grow.
3. City & Market Research
Whenever CULTUR FM enters or considers a new city, you will create a City Opportunity Map.
This should help CULTUR FM understand the cultural, media and partnership landscape of that market.
Each city map should include:
- Local media outlets
- Relevant journalists
- DJs
- MCs and hosts
- Collectives
- Event promoters
- Venues
- Hotels
- Restaurants and lounges
- Creative studios
- Fashion brands
- Drinks brands
- Lifestyle brands
- Radio stations
- Podcasts
- Influencers and creators
- Photographers and videographers
- Cultural commentators
- Youth communities
- University communities
- Tech and creative spaces
- Potential sponsors
- Potential brand partners
The goal is to help CULTUR FM enter each market with cultural intelligence, not surface-level research.
You should be able to answer:
- Who matters in this city?
- Which platforms shape culture here?
- Which brands already support music, nightlife or youth culture?
- Which DJs, collectives or creators should CULTUR FM know?
- Which venues and cultural spaces are credible?
- Which media outlets should we pitch?
- What story can CULTUR FM tell in this city?
- How can CULTUR FM build relationships before, during and after the event?
4. Cultural Intelligence
You will help CULTUR FM stay aware of what is happening across music, nightlife, youth culture and diaspora scenes globally.
This includes tracking:
- Emerging DJs
- Relevant music scenes
- Cultural trends
- New event concepts
- Brand activations
- Media conversations
- Creative communities
- Influential tastemakers
- Local nightlife movements
- Diaspora cultural moments
- Competitor activity
- New partnership opportunities
You should regularly bring insight to the team, such as:
- “This city has a strong emerging DJ scene we should explore.”
- “This brand has been investing in music culture and may be a good fit.”
- “This publication is writing about the exact space CULTUR FM operates in.”
- “This podcast would be ideal for a founder interview.”
- “This collective would be a strong local partner for an event.”
- “This cultural moment gives us a strong press hook.”
5. Outreach & Relationship Building
You will support and/or lead outreach to journalists, brands, collaborators and partners.
This includes:
- Drafting outreach emails
- Sending DMs where appropriate
- Following up with contacts
- Maintaining a clear outreach tracker
- Preparing briefing notes before calls
- Helping develop partnership proposals
- Keeping track of conversations and next steps
- Ensuring no warm leads are left unattended
You should be comfortable reaching out to people professionally and confidently.
6. Reporting & Organisation
You will be expected to keep the team updated without being chased.
This includes:
- Weekly progress updates
- Press tracker updates
- Partnership tracker updates
- City research documents
- Outreach reports
- Follow-up reminders
- Recommendations for next steps
- Monthly summary of opportunities
Your updates should clearly show:
- Who has been contacted
- Who has responded
- Who needs follow-up
- What new opportunities have been found
- What you recommend CULTUR FM does next
- Any blockers or support needed
Weekly Expectations
Each week, you should be able to:
- Add new relevant press and partnership contacts to the tracker
- Identify new press feature opportunities
- Identify new collaboration or partnership opportunities
- Draft or send outreach
- Follow up with existing contacts
- Present proactive ideas to the team
- Keep all trackers updated
- Share a clear weekly update
- Research any upcoming city or market CULTUR FM is entering
A typical weekly target may include:
- 10–20 new relevant press/partnership contacts
- 5–10 outreach attempts or prepared outreach drafts
- 3–5 new partnership or collaboration ideas
- 2–3 press angles or feature opportunities
- 1 clear weekly report with recommendations
Monthly Expectations
Each month, you should aim to:
- Build at least one detailed city or market opportunity map
- Identify 30–50 relevant media, brand or cultural contacts
- Support or lead 15–30 outreach attempts
- Generate meaningful press, partnership or collaboration conversations
- Present a monthly summary of the best opportunities
- Help CULTUR FM secure stronger visibility and better cultural relationships

Pay: ₦270,000.00 - ₦380,000.00 per month
