The Greatest Gift Catalog Ever is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to connecting neighbors and communities with meaningful awareness and giving opportunities. Through creative outreach, strategic partnerships, and a unique catalog-based model, we inspire individuals and organizations to support causes that make a lasting impact. As the most successful communications program benefitting charities in Tarrant County the impact and reach of the program is significant.
We are seeking a self-motivated, self-starter to head to manage, develop and enhance our Public relations and stake holder relationships as we enter into its next chapter of growth and community engagement.
Position Overview
The Public Relations , Communications and Social Media management position is focused on getting the 26 organizations featured in The Greatest Gift Catalog Ever’s messaging out into the community and maintaining relationships with our three constituencies the organizations featured, the donors who support them and platforms that help are used to send the messaging out. This role requires an enterprising spirit, great exceptional communication skills, and the ability to proof read. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder who thrives in community settings. Strong recollect and memory skills are desired…particularly with names. The candidate would be the front facing component of the catalog in the community.
Leadership & Operations
- Provide strategic communications leadership to advance the mission of the Catalog.
- Develop manage and maintain all realtionships for the catalog to be sucessful.
- Develop manage and maintain the social media strategy of the catalog.
- Oversee daily communications operations.
- Operate with a high degree of independence, making informed decisions that support organizational sustainability and growth.
- An enterprising spirit might be an asset but not required.
- Maintain and support the needs of the participating organizations to get their catalog information in and processed for publishing of the catalog.
- Collaborating with suppliers and the city on execution of the communications strategy including catalog production and banner programs.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, nonprofit partners, community leaders, and corporate sponsors.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and public engagements.
- Identify and develop new partnership opportunities that expand the catalog’s reach and impact.
- Event planning for both small and mid-size events.
- Coordinate volunteers in catalog distribution and fixed site acquisition.
Marketing, Media & Communications
- Lead the organization’s social media strategy, content creation, and digital engagement efforts.
- Serve as a primary spokesperson for the organization; media experience is a strong plus.
- Develop compelling messaging and promotional materials that elevate brand awareness.
- Ensure consistent, mission-aligned communication across all platforms.
Development
- Implement donor stewardship and campaign support.
- Collaborate closely with nonprofit partners to highlight their work and maximize catalog participation.
- Explore innovative revenue streams and community-driven awareness opportunities.
Qualifications
- Smart- If you are smart it will work if you are not it wont.
- Being an excellent speller hand having the ability to proof read.
- Strong social media and digital communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Speaking in front of a group of 100 is important and experience with media would be a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make strategic decisions.
- Passion for community-building and cultivating meaningful partnerships.
