CONTRACT GIG: Social Media Content Creator | Calgary + Edmonton Summer Contract

The SuperDogs are looking for a creative, social-media-savvy content creator to join us this summer for two of Western Canada’s biggest events:

• Calgary Stampede
• K-Days Edmonton

We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes short-form content, understands trends, and can help capture the energy, personality, and behind-the-scenes magic of our cast and incredible performing dogs.

What You’ll Do

• Create fun, engaging social media content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Reels
• Come up with creative post ideas involving the dogs, trainers, backstage life, and show atmosphere
• Stay on top of social trends and adapt them for the SuperDogs brand
• Film content on-site using your phone
• Perform light editing for quick-turnaround posts
• Capture both planned and spontaneous moments throughout the events

Content Expectations

• Create approximately 1 polished piece of content every other day during the Calgary Stampede
• Additional content creation during K-Days in Edmonton
• Work collaboratively with the SuperDogs team while bringing your own creative ideas to the table

Ideal Candidate

• Comfortable filming people and animals in fast-paced live event environments
• Strong understanding of TikTok/Reels style editing and storytelling
• Creative, reliable, professional, and self-motivated
• Able to spot trends and execute them quickly
• Experience with social media content creation preferred
• Must be based in Calgary or surrounding area
• Must be available to travel to Edmonton for K-Days

Compensation

Flexible compensation structure:

• Contract rate
• Per-post payment
• Lump sum project fee

Compensation will depend on experience and scope of involvement.
