Role Overview
Are you a master storyteller who also knows how to close a business deal? Can you transition seamlessly from shooting a viral TikTok hook in our kitchen to pitching a corporate meal plan package to an HR Director at a top firm? If yes, we want you!
We are looking for a highly energetic, versatile, and proactive Social Media, Content Creator & Sales Lead. This is a unique 2-in-1 hybrid role designed for a high-performing "creator-hustler." You will be responsible for building our digital community and brand visibility online while actively driving offline and online sales outreach to onboard corporate organizations, offices, and individual subscribers to our meal plans.
Key ResponsibilitiesTrack 1: Social Media, Creative Direction & Content Creation (50%)
- Content Generation: Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality, aesthetically pleasing short-form video content (TikToks, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) highlighting our premium meals, behind-the-scenes kitchen action, packaging, and brand culture.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow MetroEats’ active presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Brand Visibility & Engagement: Write catchy, brand-aligned copy, engage actively with followers in the comments and DMs, and turn casual viewers into loyal customers.
- Trend Jacking & Marketing: Stay ahead of social media trends, viral sounds, and pop-culture moments in the Nigerian digital landscape, seamlessly integrating MetroEats into the conversation.
- Campaign Execution: Work closely with the operations team to run social media campaigns, product launches, and influencer collaborations.
Track 2: B2B & B2C Sales, Outreach & Business Development (50%)
- Corporate B2B Outreach: Identify and pitch MetroEats’ corporate meal plans and subscriptions to HR managers, administrative leads, and corporate offices across Lagos to secure recurring weekly/monthly group orders.
- B2C Subscription Growth: Design and execute digital and offline strategies to acquire and retain individual subscribers for our personal meal plans.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Lead the sales cycle from prospecting and sending cold emails/making cold calls to hosting food-tasting sessions, writing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Offline Activation & Networking: Attend networking events, corporate meetups, and local pop-ups to physically represent MetroEats and build high-value B2B relationships.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Gather feedback from onboarded corporate clients to ensure high retention, up-sell catering packages for corporate events, and maintain client satisfaction.
Who We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- The Hybrid Edge: A proven track record where you have successfully created digital content AND directly contributed to revenue growth/sales.
- Creative Portfolio: A portfolio of past creative work (TikTok/Reels, photography, or copy) demonstrating your ability to capture high-quality aesthetic video and tell engaging brand stories. Proficient in editing tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Premiere.
- Proven Sales Record: At least 1-2 years of experience in direct sales, corporate business development, or account management (experience in the food, hospitality, or tech-startup industries in Lagos is a major plus).
- The Gift of Gab: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be highly persuasive, confident in professional spaces, and a natural builder of relationships.
- Deep Knowledge of the Lagos Market: Familiarity with corporate hubs in Lagos (V.I., Ikoyi, Lekki, Ikeja) and an understanding of what busy professionals look for in high-quality lunch/food options.
- Self-Starter Attitude: Comfortable with autonomy, working in a fast-paced cloud kitchen environment, and running with both creative projects and quantitative sales targets.
