About the Role
Monjay Mezza is seeking a full-time Social Media Specialist to support the business’s marketing, brand awareness and social media presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging digital content, managing social media campaigns, supporting promotional activity, and helping communicate the Monjay Mezza brand to retail customers, suppliers and the broader market.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Develop, create and schedule engaging marketing content across social media platforms and digital channels.
- Create written, photographic, video and graphic content to promote Monjay Mezza products and brand campaigns.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of social media and digital marketing strategies.
- Manage and update social media pages, including content calendars, posts, captions, stories and promotional material.
- Monitor social media engagement, trends, audience feedback and campaign performance.
- Design marketing materials such as product promotions, digital advertisements, flyers, basic graphics and branded content.
- Support product launches, seasonal promotions, retailer campaigns and event-related marketing.
- Work with management to ensure all content aligns with the Monjay Mezza brand, product range and marketing objectives.
- Liaise with internal staff, suppliers, retailers and external service providers where required.
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across online platforms and marketing materials.
- Prepare reports on marketing content performance and recommend improvements.
Skills and Experience Required
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in content creation, social media marketing, digital marketing or a similar role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Management, Information Technology, Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
- Strong written communication and content creation skills.
- Experience using social media platforms for business marketing purposes.
- Ability to create engaging content for food, retail, hospitality or consumer product audiences.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Graphic design skills will be highly regarded.
- Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, scheduling tools or similar platforms will be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
