Sustainability Intern
Overview
We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our Sustainability Department as an Intern. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in sustainability while contributing to impactful, purpose‑driven initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sustainability team to support programmes and projects that advance our sustainability commitments and organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research & Analysis
- Conduct research on sustainability trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.
- Analyse data and prepare insights to support strategic planning and decision‑making within the department.
2. Project Support
- Assist in the execution of sustainability initiatives, including but not limited to financial literacy programmes, recycling campaigns, and other ESG‑related projects.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate and roll out project activities.
3. Physical Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistical arrangements for the physical AGM.
- Assist with venue coordination, catering, audiovisual setup, registration management, and stakeholder engagement.
4. Annual Report Preparation
- Liaise with internal departments to gather accurate information and data for the Annual Report and Sustainability Statement.
- Ensure timely consolidation and documentation of required materials.
5. Data Management & Sustainability Website Updates
- Collect, organise, and maintain sustainability‑related datasets to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Update sustainability content on the corporate website and assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other communication materials for various stakeholders.
6. Ad Hoc Tasks
- Provide support for additional tasks and requests from the Sustainability team as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong interest and passion for sustainability and ESG-related work.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Proactive, reliable, and detail‑oriented, with strong organisational skills.
